About Elev8iQ Solutions
Strengthening People, Leadership and Systems Where it Matters Most.
Elev8iQ Solutions helps organisations strengthen leadership, culture and systems in real operational conditions.
The work is grounded in practical experience, cultural values and the belief that better leadership decisions create safer, stronger and more resilient organisations.
This is not about adding more paperwork.
It is about helping people make better decisions, lead with confidence and build systems that hold up when work gets real.
Why Elev8iQ Exists
People come to work wanting to do a good job and return home safely.
Serious incidents rarely begin with bad intentions.
They develop when leadership, communication, decision-making and operational systems no longer align under pressure.
Elev8iQ Solutions exists to strengthen people, leaders and organisations so they have the confidence, capability and support to protect those who depend on them when it matters most.
Led by Tama Robson

20+ Years Across High-Risk Industries Where Safety Matters
Tama Robson is an HSEQ specialist, ISO Lead Auditor, former RTO owner, and instructional designer with more than 20 years of experience across military, oil and gas, mining, rail, logistics, manufacturing, agribusiness, education and high-risk operations.
His work combines safety systems, compliance, operational risk, leadership capability and practical learning design.
Through Elev8iQ Solutions, Tama helps leaders and organisations move beyond paperwork and strengthen leadership execution where risk is created, in daily decisions, conversations, routines and behaviours.
Tama’s approach is practical, direct and grounded in real work. He believes strong safety performance is not built by blaming people or adding unnecessary complexity. It is built by developing capable leaders, trusted systems and teams who know how to respond when pressure increases.
What Shapes the Work
Values That Filter Every Decision
Elev8iQ Solutions is guided by values that influence how we work with people, organisations and communities.
These values are not decorative statements.
They shape how leadership, safety, systems and improvement are approached, especially when decisions are being made under pressure.
Values matter because under pressure, behaviour reveals what an organisation truly rewards.
Elev8iQ helps leaders align what they say, what they expect and what actually happens in the field.

Relationships
(Whanaungatanga)
Strong improvement starts with trust, respect and shared purpose. We build relationships that support honest conversations, collaboration and shared accountability.

Care & Respect
(Manaakitanga)
People do their best work when they feel respected, supported and safe to speak up, learn and improve.

Guardianship
(Kaitiakitanga)
Leadership carries a duty to protect people, knowledge, culture and organisational capability for the future.

Unity
(Kotahitanga)
People, leadership, systems and purpose must work together. When they separate, risk increases.

Excellence
(Kairangitanga)
Good work requires discipline, learning and continuous improvement. Excellence is built through practice, reflection and professional integrity.

Leadership
(Rangatiratanga)
Leadership is shown through behaviour, communication and sound judgement, especially when pressure increases.

Integrity
(Pono)
What is said, expected and rewarded must line up. Integrity means doing what is right, even when it is difficult.

Safety
(Haumaru)
Safety is more than compliance. It is the protection of people through strong leadership, trusted systems and everyday decisions.

The name Elev8iQ reflects what the business exists to do: elevate the intelligence, capability and confidence of people, systems and strategy.
It represents a practical belief that when people think more clearly, lead more deliberately and work within systems that support good decisions, organisations become safer, stronger and more resilient.
The "8" represents Balance, Continuity and Improvement: The need for leadership, behaviour and systems to keep working together under pressure.
The "i" represents Individual accountability and leadership: Because culture changes when people at every level take responsibility for how work is done and how others are treated.
The "Q" represents Quality of thinking, judgement and execution: The discipline to turn insight into better decisions, stronger action and improved outcomes.
At its core, Elev8iQ is about turning reflection into action.

Reflect. Reset. Prepare.
Matariki has long been a time to pause, look back, read the signs of the season and prepare for what comes next.
Traditionally, the rising of Matariki marked a period of remembrance, renewal, planning and preparation.
It was a time to acknowledge those who had passed, gather with whānau, give thanks for what had been provided, and prepare carefully for the season ahead.
For Elev8iQ Solutions, this carries a practical leadership lesson.
In high-risk work, people and organisations also need moments to Reflect, Reset and Prepare.
Pressure changes. Signals appear. Routines drift. Small gaps can become normal before anyone names the risk.
Reflect - Reset - Prepare turns that wisdom into a practical leadership discipline.
Reflect: On what has happened, what is changing and what can be learned.
Reset: Expectations, behaviours and systems before drift becomes normal.
Prepare: People, leaders and teams to respond with confidence when pressure increases.
This is how Elev8iQ Solutions approaches improvement, not as a one-off fix, but as a disciplined way of helping people and organisations become stronger over time.
Guided by Reflection. Strengthened Through Action
The Elev8iQ Solutions Way
Six Principles for Practical Improvement
Elev8iQ Solutions believes leadership is demonstrated through everyday decisions, particularly under operational pressure.
1. Build confidence before accountability: People need to believe they can do the work before they can be held responsible for it.
2. Develop capability before enforcing compliance: Rules only work when people understand why they matter and have the skills to follow them.
3. Improve systems before blaming people: When systems fail, looking for a person to blame is the wrong starting point.
4. Seek understanding before judgement: Assumptions about why something happened are usually wrong. Ask first.
5. Simplify before adding complexity: More process is rarely the answer. Better process is.
6. Strengthen people so processes can hold: Procedures only work when leaders create the conditions for people to use them properly under pressure.
